Hola, soy Luis, nunca he necesitado usar un alias pero visto que es la costumbre en el sector me pod\u00e9is llamar Lucho (muy original). Llevo con Warhammer <\/strong>fantasy un buen pu\u00f1ado de a\u00f1os y siguiendo el blog de cargad unos 3 a\u00f1os. De hecho fue Nama quien me invit\u00f3 muy amablemente al grupo de WhatsApp de Bcn tras un comentario en una entrada.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hace ya medio a\u00f1o me apunt\u00e9 a un KickStarter de la empresa polaca de miniaturas Titan Forge<\/strong><\/a>, llamado \u201cRaid on the Temple of Serpents\u201d. Me interesaban los ogros con morri\u00f3n y armadura para el ejercito mercenario que estoy pintando, pero una vez en el \u201cpledge manager\u201d me vine para arriba con el Di\u00f3genes y compr\u00e9 alguna cosa m\u00e1s. En esta entrada pretendo hacer un \u201cunboxing\u201d de ir por casa (siendo mi primer unboxing es lo que hay) por si hay alguien que le interesa para el futuro o por si ha participado en el KS pero no ha recibido el material aun. Como hab\u00eda bastante angloparlante entre los \u201cbackers\u201d pongo algunos comentarios en ingl\u00e9s por si les fuera de inter\u00e9s y por si conseguimos engancharlos a Fantasy 6\u00aa edici\u00f3n + MDNR \ud83d\ude09<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Embalaje \/ Packaging<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Las miniaturas llegaron en bolsitas dentro de una caja de cart\u00f3n. La caja se env\u00eda en sobre protegido con burbujas. No he encontrado desperfectos debido a golpes.
The miniatures came in separate plastic bags within a cardboard box, altogether sent into a bubble protected envelope. I have found no transport damage so far, so that is all good.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Tama\u00f1o \/ Size comparison<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Las figuras de talla humana\/goblin se han comparado con un piquero de Leopold y un Gran espadero imperial. El tanegashima de Dragon Empire (Titan Forge<\/strong>, KS previo) es muy similar en talla al mercenario y m\u00e1s bajo que el espadero, lo cual es razonable dado que GW <\/strong>no respeto tallas entre ediciones. El goblin\/gnoblar es sensiblemente mas corpulento que el resto de miniaturas<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201chuman\/goblin \u00bb size figures have been compared to a mercenary from Leopold\u2019s leopard pikemen and the drummer in the great swords of the Empire (GW<\/strong>, both metal). As it can be sent he Tanegashima from Dragon Empire (Titan forge<\/strong>, previous KS) are similar in size with the mercenary and shorter than the swordsman, but this is in my opinion reasonable as GW <\/strong>did not match sizes through the different editions. The goblin\/gnoblar is bulkier than said humans.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Las ogros pirata son a mis ojos ligeramente m\u00e1s altos que los de GW <\/strong>pero creo que no es una diferencia que se pueda apreciar muy f\u00e1cilmente una vez est\u00e9n en su peana y pintados.
Pirate Ogres from Titan Forge <\/strong>are in my opinion slightly taller than those from GW, but I doubt that would be easily appreciated once the miniature is based and painted.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Material<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No tengo el conocimiento para distinguir adecuadamente si es resina o pl\u00e1stico a simple vista. El material es m\u00e1s duro sin duda que ninguna resina con la que yo haya trabajado (FW y similar). Me hace dudar si ser\u00e1 un pl\u00e1stico nuevo con el que se hab\u00eda comentado Titan Forge<\/strong> que trabajar\u00edan (tendr\u00e9 que preguntarles). A mi parecer y a falta de empezar a trabajar, se antoja un material agradable al tacto y que no da la impresi\u00f3n de ser fr\u00e1gil como otras resinas que he usado. Tendr\u00e9 que ver que tal responde a imprimaci\u00f3n y pintado.
I lack the knowledge to differentiate if the material is resin or plastic at plain sight. It is certainly harder than any resin I have worked with (FW and such). I doubt whether this could be the new plastic that TF commented they wanted to work with (I\u2019ll have to ask them). In my opinion, and before I have started any work on the miniatures, the general feeling on this material is that is pleasant on touch and does not seem as fragile as other resins I\u2019ve been in contact with. I\u2019ll have to wait to see its behavior with the primer and paint, but so far so good.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Lineas de molde, rebabas, etc \/ Seam lines, excess material, etc<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

En general el acabado de las miniaturas es bastante bueno. Se observan m\u00e1s bien pocas l\u00edneas de molde, que se quitan f\u00e1cilmente. Respecto rebabas y puntos de inyecci\u00f3n de material, tengo que decir que s\u00ed que hay bastantes. Sin embargo hay que reconocer que TF ha aprovechado astutamente aristas de las minis para que retirar el exceso de material sea f\u00e1cil y deje un buen resultado. En mi opini\u00f3n, el nivel de trabajo para dejar las minis listas para pintar ser\u00e1 bastante menor que resina FW y similar.
Generally speaking, the finishing of the miniatures is really good. There are very few mould\/seam lines , easily removable. There is a significant amount of injection points (is that the word?) with material excess (not much material though). However, TF has done a good job placing such injection points in convenient locations so it is easy to remove them. In my opinion, workload to prepare miniature to be ready for primer is remarkably lower than with FW and similar resin miniatures.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
